And believe me, I know there are many. This session begins with stabilizing and strengthening side lying work. Then we will implement some of my favorite postures and breath for the spine, for the digestive organs, and for the nervous system. Start on empty, it’s okay! This session was made to help change your energetic state while getting you moving in a forward direction. You got this. Yoga works. <p>This practice met my needs today. Hip replacement operation tomorrow (I have limited mobility in my left hip) so this practice was gentle enough for me to do. Nice!</p>

Such a wonderful practice 🙏 I have one big problem though; my head will never reach the earth in wide-legged standing forward fold no matter what I do,am I the only one with this issue? Thanks in advance to this beautiful community ♥️

This is a nice early morning practice, for self doubt or to find that elusive spark of motivation. It’s very gentle - you start with some hip circles and clamshells on your side, then mobilise your spine with cobra, cat&amp;cow, rib cage circles, puppy pose and threading the needle. You then start getting into the backs of the legs and lower back with down dog, a looong forward fold, move through some side body stretches and then start flowing through some very short planks, crescent lunges, warriors and wide legged forward folds (I threw in a skandasa here). Ends seated after a gentle twist.

<p>A lovely gentle start to the day on the Mat, this was spot on for me today. Body and mind so very tired this week, preparing for Mum’s Funeral and a Celebration of her life is so bitter sweet and is taking its toll. Where would I be without my daily Yoga 🙏❤️🙏</p>

<p>Been feeling a bit off. It hit me hard yesterday. I had to take time off and surrender. Gave my body the rest it needed. I felt somehow restored this evening. Came to the mat and as soon as I lay my head down on my elbow, I felt I have arrived in a good place. Thanks Adriene. I will slow down tomorrow, but it feels great knowing full well that yoga truly works! Love those clam shells. Baby cobra to regain confidence. And that wide-legged forward fold to seal the deal! This is lovely! Question: what’s a good modification for threading the needle for people who have big chests? My never get the full stretch there because my chest is in the way of getting my arm and shoulder fully underneath my body.
