It is my great honor and pleasure to invite Marnie Castor on to guide you through this practice. Marnie’s wisdom, energetic care and authenticity is un-dismissible and contagious. I hope you enjoy this practice and her other sessions on the membership. They were so fun to make.

Namaste,

Adriene

----------------------------

Perimenopause and Menopause can be a challenging time for a lot of women. While the body is trying to figure out a new hormonal equilibrium, a woman will experience a myriad of symptoms: hot flashes, mood swings, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and foggy brain, just to name a few.

Here is a gentle yoga sequence with forward folds, twists, and easy backbends that are geared to pacify, energize, and tonify the adrenal glands. And while it isn’t a cure-all, it certainly can help us weather the storm. In addition to a regular yoga practice, remember, it is important to be good, patient, and kind to yourself.

Menopause is a powerful rite of passage that can deliver us to the shores of wisdom, self possession, and compassion. Arm yourself with knowledge, learn about the changes your body is undergoing, and share your personal experiences by creating a support group filled with other beautiful women just like yourself.

Love,

Marnie

Marnie this was exactly what I needed. I turned fifty in January. I had been on HRT for about a year only to be taken off it cold turkey three weeks ago because of complications. My symptoms have been overwhelming but somehow in my hour of need I found this video. Thank you and thank you Adrienne for facilitating this too. Calming the adrenals, becoming the wise woman and letting go of the froth. Forever grateful. X

I would like to try this... I'm little scared. I have medically induced menopause, and an having s really hard time with very VERY sure joints and intense hot flashes from the meds. I'm scared it will be too hard for me... Anyone doing this who has joint issues?

Thank you so much for this video. I started perimenopause at 37 years old. I am now 44 and still experiencing many strong symptons. I just wanted to share my age because if anyone else is also younger- you are not alone. I felt very alone and basically crazy when I first started experiencing symptoms because none of my friends knew what I was talking about. I started informing myself which helped to know I wasn’t going crazy. Thank you Marnie for educating us helping to bring calm to my crazy fire!

Thank you so much. I am 57 going through a late and quite intense menopause experience. This last month alone I feel as if I've aged a decade with such stiffness and pain in my muscles and joints. I've practised yoga all my life and it is quite a shock to suddenly struggle. I'm putting in place a bunch of solutions but it was quite lovely to find a slow and sympathetic class to support me through what I hope is a passing phase. If it is not a passing but in fact a new phase then I hope you will add to this class for those of us who will need to find fresh ways to practise our yoga long into this later part of our lives. Namaste.

More of this please :-) <3. And speaking to the fact many women start this transition earlier than mid-to-late forties. I am 42.5 and been seeing the shift for about 4 years at least in just energy levels and small cycle changes. The huge desire to slow down, be gentle and kind especially in my morning times came this year, my 42nd year. A huge exciting blessing - and a bit humbling thinking I had a few more years of "push" left in me and realizing nope.

Loved this practice. So informative, so empowering and yet so supportive and relaxing too. Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to do this one. Will definitely check out more of Marni’s practices and revisit this practice. Please can we have more yoga practices for the menopause (could only find one). I imagine there are so many of us at this point in our lifetimes that could really benefit from it. Even better a Yoga for Menopause series…please 😊🙏🏻. Thank you so much, now feeling very calm and well rested x
