<p>Join me for this stretchy 30 min low to the ground yoga practice for the back and hamstrings! This gentle class invites a full body awareness and focuses on a deep opening of the muscles around the hips, lower back, and legs. </p><p><br></p><p>Our hamstrings can get tight when we sit too much or when we overtrain the quadriceps. When this happens, the hamstrings begin to pull down on the sit bones, making the pelvis and hips tight and flattening the natural curvature in the low back. </p><p><br></p><p>Create stability while welcoming in a relaxing release as we work to invite equilibrium to both mind and body. Did this on my hospital bed ...8 weeks post back and spinal cord injury. Long rehab but doing well and i cannot believe that im back on the mat /bed albeit with limited movement for now. Thank you as akways Adriene and the community...i feel more me agai for the forst time since my life changing accident ...so much love and gratitude to all 🙏 ❤️

<p>I used to love this pre-pregnancy but now that i'm in my 2nd trimester, i dont think this is suitable anymore with the amount of time spent on the back. This video probably shouldn't be in the prenatal safe playlist. I hope there will be more prenatal safe videos coming out soon!</p>

Oof, my hips always hurt so much during the vishnu pose! And my supporting shoulder also doesn’t like it. But its such a nice stretch.
