Can’t do this one. Started it but I’m really dying inside today. The person who assaulted me throughout my childhood will be at my dinner table. Why do I allow this stuff? Because I’m still severely traumatized and scared of upsetting him. I feel like I can’t breathe.

This is lovely, but also so segregated from the horrors of the world at the moment. It’s like living two realities - on one hand, witnessing the genocide in Gaza, and then, a celebration of a kind of individualised well-being.

Big love to everyone who finds this time of year hard 🩵 maybe you’re like me, and part of you feels angry or resentful at mentions of gratitude. All parts of you and me are welcome here 🩵

I have gastroparesis, and I turn to this practice quite often when a normal amount of food has left me feeling stuffed

Why is it that we should do the right side first for the wind-relieving pose?

Always the practice I turn to when my GI issues flare. It is such a healing and calming practice, sprinkled with grace and humor. I am filled with gratitude. Namaste.

I have worked hard not to associate eating with morality or give into the pressure to feel bad about "over-eating" so it was stressful to be reminded repeatedly about that pressure and culture around eating. I know the point of the vid is that it's fine, but it really shook me. Just putting it out here again for myself - there's never any reason to feel guilty for eating (sure, there are some sustainability factors but that's a mantra for me to separate myself from the culture and industry of "guilt-free" diet food)

Hi, does anyone know why Adriene says to always bring your right knee up first? xx

I took the initial “grace” as towards someone else. My focus without knowing it was releasing shame from a situation that’s held power over me for 2 long, and then your “grace” prompt appeared. I wished her well genuinely, for the first time ever, and then granted grace to myself for feeling ashamed 🩷🥹 ahhhhh, yoga
