Like the Autumn season, your Luteal phase is a time when your body begins to wind down in preparation for your Menstrual phase (Winter). This is the longest phase of your cycle, and the perfect time to celebrate and honor yourself through a home practice in solitude, before your cycle begins all over again.

In this phase we will feel a decline in energy and desire to lean into moderate to low intensity movement. Listen and honor the wisdom of your body. This 20 minute yoga session is designed to help you find a balanced pace so that you can drop in no matter where you are at. Mood swings, headaches, cravings, irritation, fatigue. I got you. Together, let’s explore elements of ease to help aid in PMS (premenstrual symptoms) and find what feels good today.

You are beautiful. Thank you for showing up, I’ll meet you on the mat.

Love,
Adriene

This was AMAZING!!! I’m having the lutealest luteal phase right now, and I can’t express how much needed this was. Thank you Adriene and team ❤️ Shoutout to everyone else in this phase who is also questioning every relationship, considering quitting their job, and ready to move across the country right now 😂

Dear Adriene considering the amount of menopausal women in the comments maybe you could sometime in the future do a Menopause series like this one... it doesn't matter that you're not menopausal yourself. I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Can’t lie I was a little disappointed. I loved it because I always love YWA. As a luteal practice it wasn’t luteal enough! I was expecting more stretching/ more pigeon pose/more cobblers and poses that are more opening and taking advantage of being our most flexible but least energetic. Still enjoyed it.

This was so perfect! As I started having my period again this month after almost 2 1/2 years without, and I'm actually happy about it because it means my body is healthy and feels safe enough to go through this cycle again, I've been looking for ways to support all phases. This practice is wonderful for me today and helped me feel so much better! Thank you very much for creating it 💜 Now I look forward to the menstrual phase!

Reading through the comments, I love that so many post menopausal women are practicing yoga. I am too (60 years young) and hope to practice it daily until the I leave this earth. I love it so much. and y'all. Have a beautiful day.

Spent a long time getting on the mat, reading through the comments and going back and forth while i just felt really annoyed + having tension in my legs, hips and lower back. Big exhale😮‍💨 this was so nice and I just modified as I always do, staying longer, going deeper or skipping something. If I'm feeling really low and need a long practice I go to another lovely soul from Texas, Aprille Walker restorative yoga. This was good for moving stuck energy and I feel more uplifted in mind, body and soul - thanks A🌻🕯️

I've seen a lot of folks commenting that they're post menopause, I just wanted to note that there's been evidence that they still have a cycle as such, hormonal cycle that is, just without the ovulation and menstruation aspects. So if you track it a bit you might find regular times when you're more tired/grumpy vs more energetic and be able to base these practices on that. 🙂
