Meditation with Adriene

Are there topics or areas of your life that are void of sensation? Are there topics or areas in your life or the cultural climate that bring you discomfort?

Learn how to utilize the breath and your awareness as a tool for dissolving discomfort and waking up unknown territory with grace.

Take a short amount of time out of your day to join me for this meditation in which we will slow down the breath to practice witnessing sensation.

The art of awareness can teach us a lot about where we are focusing our attention, where we are feeling sensation, and the areas in which we are not. This type of practice can also reveal areas in which we are unwilling to see.

In this session we will create a rhythm of noticing sensation (the comfortable and the uncomfortable) and lack of sensation. You are invited to observe how bringing your awareness to both is what creates an experience.

Food for thought? Let me know how this practice goes for you in the comment tab down below.

This chapel session was shot in the beautiful town of Todos Santos, Mexico on the property of Hotel San Cristobal.

Yours,

Adriene

Does anyone know where this was filmed? I'm working on a novel where the family has a small chapel on their property, and this is the perfect inspiration for it! I would love to learn more about this space.

I literally just resubscribed to the app because I missed this meditation. I'm not sure if anyone else uses this for chronic pain, but I feel like it helps me move away from focusing only on the areas in my body that hurt in a way that helps the pain, not sure if this makes sense but want to learn more about this idea/application!

Loved this meditation. I paired it with the third eye chakra for this week's chakra ride on the spark calendar. What I found sort of amazing was the more I alternated between sensations, the more sensations I felt - like the non-sensation areas became sensation areas. I'd love to see more of these types of mindful practices! Feel totally grounded, anxiety & stress melted into something interesting to look at rather than a weight on my heart. 💗🙏💗

This is a great meditation. It helps me to anchor my mind between sensation and no sensation. I have a feeling of peace now. Thank you 🙏

I found that scanning for sensation to areas of no sensation, eventually led to sensation throughout my entire body! I literally felt the energy and flow coursing through everywhere! First time experiencing it.

I had already closed the app but I felt compelled to open it again simply to share that this is my absolute favorite meditation. The rhythm of the shift between sensation and the absence of sensation brings me peace every single time, which is no small feat. So thank you again, Adriene, for holding this space for us. Om shanti shanti shanti.
