In part five of our series, teacher Light Watkins goes over the art of surrender in the E.A.S.Y approach to meditation. In surrendering, you will learn to let go of expectations, give up control, and give in to the process. Practice using your breath as a point of focus, and you may even want to lie down to let yourself fully relax and surrender. Light leads you on a mostly silent, five-minute meditation.

I have a request – a wish. Please, could we have some more, maybe longer, meditations with Light Watkins? 10, maybe 15 minutes? I’ve really enjoyed his Meditation For All, and the EASY approach. His “Hey Friends”-greeting has become almost as loved and pavlovian (in a good way) as “Whatsup everybody, Welcome to yoga with Adriene, I’m Adriene, and this is sweet Beni, and today we have …” and I’ve been through the 7 Mediation sessions in the series three times, now. His voice and guidance really helps me meditate, so I’d love to see more from him on FWFG. Have a lovely weekend 😃 🙏🏼❤️

Thank you Light, after many years of trying to fall in love with meditation with struggle and no success, it suddenly happened, without me even trying, in fact it unexpectedly blossomed out of embracing, accepting and surrendering. ❤️ Thank you from the deepest parts of my heart.

Light, You always forget to leave more quiet between prompts:) I've been staying after the talks to practice stillness and quiet.

While Light is such a gentle, warm presence, and I truly am enjoying this series, there is just too much talking during the meditations! A “five minute meditation” has only maybe 20 seconds of silence?

Thank you! I am a seasoned user of the Orange Meditation app, and your perspective on surrender really helps me better understand their Noting Technique, after working with it for 6 months or so. Liked the relaxed vibe, too. Should have seen my face at the crossed ankles 😂😂❤️‍🩹
