These seemingly simple movements will help you gain awareness of the many muscle groups in the hips and pelvis, improving your form in all weight-bearing standing postures. Then Marnie will lead you through several standing poses that work the hips and abdomen while practicing balance simultaneously. Reduce fall risk with strong and flexible hips!

You may like a blanket for this practice.

This practice has brought a whole new perspective and awareness of the poses for me - I feel like I've just done the best trikonasana and warrior one of my entire life!! xxx

I have a question about form and where I'm feeling the effort in the crescent lunges. Right around 17:00 in the video, she mentions that I should be feeling the work in that back leg glute, but I'm feeling it all in the glute/ham of the front leg. I can't figure out how to make the back leg do the work. Any ideas?

Great stretching and strengthening for the hips! The internal rotation at the beginning was hard, but good. My 12 year old took one look at me and said i looked like I'd been Vecna'd (Stranger Things reference) 🤣

I have been practicing the Dr. Fishman 12 poses for osteoporosis (1st and 2nd series) for two months. In this remarkable series, Marnie seems to break down those poses and others so that we can better understand how our bodies move and feel. I love💕 this!💜

I am going through this series for the third time. Marnie's explanations are so clear and precise and she makes everything sound do-able, while developing awareness of what each pose should feel like. The movements are subtle and look insignificant but at the end of each session, you really feel the work you have done. I love her gentle humour too. Really excellent.

Second time through this series and wow. Yet another whole new awareness of the poses and my body. I am leaving the practice feeling longer, calmer yet so alert and energized. Love this series! Filled with gratitude. Thank you.

Forget the hips, this showed me how bad my ankles are lol (straightening leg like in side angle kills my feet/ankles for some reason)
