Sumair is back with another physiology workshop that will improve your yoga practice and reduce wrist and elbow pain. Sumair teaches you how to relax and stretch your arms and shoulders first with an isometric exercise, then use a self-massage to break up soft tissue tension. Just as in Sumair’s last workshop, Rewiring the Lower Body, you’ll learn how the bones and muscles between your hands and shoulders connect and affect each other. Some of these exercises may feel uncomfortable in the moment, but you’ll be rewarded with a profound feeling of relaxation and increased bodily awareness.

All you need is a wall for this session!

😭😢😪I had to stop after just under 8mins as I was in agony!

I just can't seem to do these practices, because to they trigger my Fibromyalgia pain really badly. I was trying to just tough it out, but I ended up on the brink of⁶ tears 😭😢😳🫣. Even after I stopped, the pain wouldn't go away for ages! I remember now that I couldn't do Sumair's practice that focuses on the feet and calves, because the same thing happened, I was overwhelmed with Fibromyalgia pain. It's so frustrating!!!!🤬😤😮‍💨

I am trying to not get upset with myself, and to just accept that this type of work isn't right for my body 🥲, no matter how much I want to make it work for me. There are still tons of great practices that my body can benefit from on this app, and some of Sumair's other classes are fine for me.

I guess this is a lesson in 'Finding What Feels Good' for me as an individual. Namaste 🧑🏽🙏🏽🌿🕊️❤️‍🩹💝💖

This has been game changing for me. I get migraines, and recently have realized through physio and this gem of a video that they are largely triggered by tension in my traps, which are overworked due to weakness in my shoulders and upper back. I've yet to find a migraine resource that suggests strengthening this part of the body as a suggestion, and hope this can encourage others to investigate whether this can be one of their triggers. Thank you doesn't cut it Sumair, this has truly made my life *better*.
