Information I received (I’m trying to stew less in frustration by acknowledging its all just information) - I give much more attention to the “negative” than the “positive”. I feel tender and small. I am not progressing the way I believe I “should” but am progressing. Returning to beginner’s mind reminds me of all the things I quit as a child when I did not graduate to the next level, ie when they did not come easy. Grateful for Adriene letting me know my shaking is not weakness but my aliveness. Grateful for this community 💜

I am moving back with my family after financial hardships including getting my car stolen, which is a decision that gives me a lot of mixed emotions. I've been in a state of transition for the past couple of weeks, and it's been really hard for me to not have a stable living situation right now. I feel like the rug has been swept from underneath me. This challenge today was pretty difficult for me physically and emotionally. It helped me to find my alignment so the emotions I had been holding onto could flow. I am grateful 💜 Thank you Adriene for being a guiding light-- No matter what happens outside of me, daily yoga brings me back to breath and reminds me that center comes from within. Namaste 🙏🏼

This was a nice refresh. Any tips on puppy posture? For some reason this one is very painful for me.

I find this one a little frustrating. It’s directed towards beginners and has lots of down time where she is talking and we aren’t doing much, and then we are holding some poses for a really long time, which is hard even for non beginners. Holding ourselves up without hands in a long low lunge takes a lot of strength! It kind of plays with my head a little. Are beginners supposed to be able to do those things? If so, why is it so physically hard for me after years of YWA and periods of real life yoga before that. I know not every practice is for every body, and i respect that many people love it, but it dowsn’t work for me.

Thank You Adriene and team- Life has brought many challenges over the last 3 months with illness and then a significant family emergency- I currently find myself away from my beloved home to care for my brother who suffered a serious injury- not much is normal right now but finding my way back to the mat is a Healing Balm For My Body and Soul- Sending Love To All ❤❤❤

This is such a powerful practice—and not just for beginners! Holding the poses longer helped me feel and release in places where I was resisting.

Good for the uber beginner. Not one I'll find myself going back to.

I feel like the comment section of the videos is meant as a place to share opinions and information about the practice as a way to help others who are considering doing the practice and want to decide if it’s right for them. That doesn’t usually happen here as comments tend to be less informational. In that vein, As an experienced yogi who works full time and considers the time I carve out for my yoga practice to be sacred and precious, I found this practice frustrating due to it’s lack of depth. I enjoy deep, restorative practices where a few stretching poses are held for longer times, but this was not a traditional restorative practice. It was very slow moving but without any way to modify up without completly diverging and doing your own thing. For me, I just used the time the video was playing to do and hold a few of my favorite stretching poses - pigeon, reclined hero, wide legged forward fold, etc. and finished up at the same time.

I have loved this practice as it has given me time to make my breathing going to my movement, and it has made me more aware of my movements. Love it, thank you! Is this similar to somatic yoga? Does somatic yoga really help with chronic pain?
