Yes Adriene, I trust you. With all that I am, straight down to my core, I trust.💗 I lit the fire and felt the burn. To anyone who struggled a little (or a lot) today I hear you! Notice how you can tell how intense/active a practice is going to be from Adriene's hairstyle? Bun. Namaste 🙏

Very difficult on my lower back, even with my hands underneath my hips… I wish there was a better way to protect my lower back from pain while doing floor core work ): i felt weak and discouraged today.

I really appreciated the cue to sink our shoulder blades into the mat when lifting our heads. By doing that I instantly felt more connection in my core and less tension in my neck. I think that will be a game changer for my core work!

Really enjoyed!! I used to dread the core workouts but practice does pay off! I’m turning 70 on my next birthday and love how strong my body is!

Ugh. I have been doing YWA for three years but this was no fun I quit at 14 minutes. Feel like a loser. It's just unpleasant for me. Congratulations to all those who followed through. Will get my yoga fix with a quick Get the Juices Flowing and be happy.

Today was day 1,273 in a row for me and the first time I got through core day start to finish!! I'm sure tomorrow it will hurt to put on socks but for today I'm triumphant! 😂

Day 6 core work: if anyone, like me, has problems with their neck spine which make it more difficult to engage the neck & lift the head, I find it helps to use the break between the repeats to gently comb down the cheek, neck and shoulder with both hands/fingers in a downward motion, enabling lymphatic drainage but also relaxing the muscles. In the past I couldn’t do neck exercises without suffering headache afterwards, so gentle draining (as opposed to pressing) seems to help.

Hear me out! Today was the absolute worst day I could have done this. The worst day of my cycle where I am cramped and bloated and low energy. For years I felt that I could only do core when I was in peak energy and mood otherwise I would be a crying mess. Today, I trusted Adriene. More importantly, I trusted myself. And not only did I get through this practice, I had fun! Now I’m crying just cause I know how strong I am, emotionally, mentally, physically and energically.

I purposely don't look at the calendar so that I have a surprise each day. Thus, I forgot about the abs practice for Day 6. I usually skip over the abs practices in the at home practices in the library of YWA as it's not my favourite. However, I have been doing the YWA practices almost every day since Covid lock down, so the regular and subtle core movements in the YWA practices has prepared me for Day 6 and has shown me that I am much stronger physically and mentally than I was before I was introduced to YWA by a yoga instructor in March 2019. Thank you so much Adriene and of course, Benji, for your inspiration and dedication to this community. I feel a changed person since I started YWA. Being able to practice at home in my own time has been a life saver. Namaste!
