Because the thoracic spine tends to round as we age, it’s important to counteract the C-shape and encourage a healthy curvature. In addition, extension exercises strengthen the Erector Spinae muscles, which are our spine-stabilizing muscles that allow us to stand up straight and twist side to side. Remember, a little goes a long way with these exercises, so move slowly and purposefully. </span></p><br><p style="line-height: 1.38"><span style="font-size: 11pt; ">You will need one or two blocks and a blanket for this practice.</span></p></div>
