Utilizing the tools of yoga through regular practice can serve well beyond a good stretch, particularly in times of uncertainty. This full-length grounding session provides us with the tools to better acknowledge our feelings, regulate the nervous system, reconnect to our core, and learn when to let go. This is the perfect practice to ground with when you are struggling or feeling off-center. You may also enjoy this class as preventative care to maintain mental, emotional, and physical balance.

By taking the time to show up for yourself you are most certainly influencing the way you show up for others. Thank you for joining me!

Let me know how this practice goes for you in the comments below!

It would be lovely to know in the description the intensity and pace of the practice to help when choosing. Could this be included?

10 minutes into this practice I received a phone call with some scary and uncertain news. After spending some time crying I returned to my mat to finish and I have never needed such strength to get through yoga. I finished up with sense of calm that wasn’t there. Always, you always know what is needed. 🙏

Thank you so much for this! I am in the long process of grieving and I cried throughout this practice tonight! Perfect prompts for self reflection, affirmations and self love. Thank you! It was an answered prayer.

Seeing this practice was almost painful because this weekend has been full of uncertainty for me, this past year and its struggles and uncertainty has really weighed extremely heavily on me. I've been feeling very, very low. So I felt quite raw and vulnerable coming onto the mat today and I couldn't really bring in my best self. Thoughts racing I was sort of just mindlessly moving from one posture to the next. But it's okay, it happens, I know now. Hopefully I will come across this again and can do it in a better mindset. In a lighter note, man the transition from plank to side plank always cracks something in my spine so good. :')

Anyone else revisiting this practice in early 2025? Holding the postures was helpful in refocusing the energy in my mind that wants to go towards spiraling.

Ironically this video isn’t in the yea/fwfg “Yoga for Uncertainty” playlist lol. It would be a good addition there :)

This was so good. Slow, holding postures for a few breaths, allowed me to focus on my body and my breath instead of my to do list. The side planks were good too, but I had to modify halfway through each because my arms are still screaming from that upper body video. 😂
