I wrote this poem in 2019 after doing this practice the first time.
Yoga in the Rain
for Adriene
A drop on the cheek
foretold the downpour
As she stood
on the green mat,
embraced by lush green trees
with the ocean in the background,
the rain came …
She did not pause or complain.
rather she embraced the rain
and revelled in its slick sensation
I am but one old man who has found solace
in the moves on the mat.
Through embracing a daily practice
and living the mantra,
small actions make big changes.
I have found, if not peace, solace.
Daily practice is
like the rain that starts
with a drop
slowly increasing
to encompass all;
creating verdant growth.

Snowy in northern Alberta. My 11 year old daughter wrote a poem: Adriene is doing yoga in the rain. She did a warrior and into a crane. As she did downward dog her balcony filled with fog. When she went into a tree, she fell and landed on her knee. It was harder for her to train, but Adriene did yoga in the rain. 🌧🙏

This is a great series! Love this from the opening sequence all the way to the wonderful outro. Beautiful mountain, goddess, sphinx, crow - perfect location. I am worthy. I am strong. Totally enjoying my practice even more after Center, Reboot and the earlier 30DoYs and fundamentals (revisit). Yoga is life. You rock Adriene. Ever so grateful to you Adriene, FWFG team and this wonderful collective. Peace, Light and Love.

Well, I listened to my heart, and it turns out that what I needed at the end of this practice was to cry. Sending love to anyone who felt the same x

I never post but today was miraculous. After 6 years of daily (less maybe 5 days total) yoga with Adriene and multiple rounds of this care package, I approached crow woth something other than trepidation…and I flew! Moral of the story, be patient and kind with yourself when it comes to challenging (and maybe not so challenging) poses. 🙏

Some reason, i was able to do the crow pose the first time— 3 seconds!
