<p>Learn to reside in the role of the observer and hop on the mat for this special Yoga Belly practice! </p><p><br></p><p>Our relationship to our belly needs some love, it needs some real work. It’s going to take us being brave enough, kind enough, bold enough to slip back into the role of the observer to notice our thoughts and words and how they make us feel. </p><p><br></p><p>Everyone is talking about Yoga Booty, but why are we not talking about Yoga Belly?? </p><p><br></p><p>In this practice, take some time to connect to your center by breathing into and sending loving awareness to this very important area of the body. </p><p><br></p><p>Ring out the internal organs with some gentle twisting and elongate the front body. </p><p><br></p><p>Lower stress levels and reduce blood pressure with deep, diaphragmatic breathing, also known as belly breathing. </p><p><br></p><p>This practice serves as an invitation to check in and see how your thoughts about your body, specifically the belly, make you feel. Does your relationship to your belly need a little (or a lot) of love?</p>

Not for me. 12 full minutes of just sitting and breathing. My yoga time is so precious to me because Im limited to only 40 minutes each weekday morning, that I want to take advantage of every moment to turn inward and prepare for my day. Sitting and listening to endless chatter just lets my brain wander to all if my “to do’s”

Note to self: dont get impatient during the 11 min breathing in the beginning, its important to practice and the rest of the video is fantastic 💓

I really just wasn’t here, today. I kept trying to breathe, but dysmorphia from my chest kept pulling me away. Hoping the next video will guide me towards a better headspace. Thank you regardless 🌻

For those of you unsure about doing this practice--it's more about the breath than anything else. Don't be afraid to do this. My core is probably one of the weakest parts of my body and I am always a little anxious about any "belly" or "core" words in the title! I found this very soothing and connecting. Just in case anyone is waffling about doing this as I was. Felt so wonderful. Namaste.

Gosh!! I closed my eyes during the entire practice and wobbled my way into dancer and even tree! Progress!!
