If there’s anywhere I can share my daily feet healing integration in hopes of helping someone else, I figure it’s here! Two full years of daily feet care, combining Adriene’s moves here with my own intuition, has made a world of difference in my fasciitis and foot pain. (1) I had to work on my mindset first, not hating my feet or the pain that stops me from working, not judging them for not lasting longer, and acknowledging the origin of the pain: poor after-school sports coaching with little stretching, foot care, or proper running technique. (2) I start every morning -before leaving bed and putting all my weight on my feet- with massage and mantra, using a St John’s Wort salve for soothing inflammation. While massaging, I send a ton of love, breath, and gratitude to my feet, using the mantra “thank you for all the places you’ve ever taken me, and all the times you’ve asked me to slow down.” (3) To stretch, I flex my feet all around, then either gently stand up in my bed to do the standing foot stretches with the cushion of my mattress, or I roll my feet on a massage ball on the floor. (4) Then I gently rise and work to remember not to walk heel-to-toe. When my feet speak to me throughout the day, I listen. Taking regular breaks off my feet, or to stretch, utilizing the froggy squat often, and treating them regularly to hot magnesium soaks, sometimes alternating in ice water. (5) When my progress seemed to hit a plateau, I turned to my shoes and began the research of barefoot shoes, how we came to learn poor walking, and how human-made surfaces affect the feet. So now Earthing my feet and walking barefoot on the bare Earth has become a regular part of this practice. Barefoot shoes coming soon! Hopefully, this helps someone someday, much love! ❤️

I'm glad I'm not the only foot weirdo!! 😂 I LOVE MY FEET!! And after ignoring them for most of the day, stuffing them in shoes, which if you haven't noticed aren't the shape of a natural foot, I switched to barefoot style shoes just over a year ago. I'm not exaggerating when I say this changed my life. This is zero drop, wide foot shaped toe box and flexible. And as a bonus there are some really amazing ethical companies out there making them. It was my transition to barefoot shoes after suffering with planta facia pain for a few years and bunions on both feet that eventually led me back to yoga via YWA . So thank you lovely Adriene for this practice. My feet are singing. 💖

"Toe-tally heeling" for my aching feet! (couldn't help the pun!)

Lovely and nurturing. Little freestyle for me in the last third of practice, sneaking in a flow, then changing it up at the end (have had two knee surgeries, so that ending pose is a no go) with some hip openers. If you’re worried you’ll get bored with 30 minutes focused on the feet, don’t! This is a gem. Can’t imagine not loving and receiving benefit from it. Thank you 💛🙏💛

Ooh that was heavenly, any opportunity I get, I tweak those feet 🦶 they are so precious and do so much work, they need all the love they can get! Mine are a peculiar shape so, the little toes lay over the one beside them and my toes kind of shoot out the top of my feet rather than going out long but, those weird little toesies are mine and they carry me far and wide so I love them. Thank you darling girl namaste 🙏🏽 ♥️ 🧘🏼♀️

As usual, I trusted you; and this was incredible! That was great! Thanks for including this in this month’s calendar as I would not have found or searched for this on my own. Also, I appreciate all the expert teachers/trainers you’ve brought in to the flatform to help us hone in and practice yoga safely at-home. I am ever so grateful for all that you do and all that you are Adriene! Namaste ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

You are definately not alone! :D I just started transitioning to barefoot shoes because I dreaded the moment, after my summer vacation, when I would have to put my feet back into socks and shoes. This practice was really great after a day of walking a little too much a little too soon in barefoot shoes though. :p @ Phil H.: I know you didn’t ask me but thought you might like to know. After some research I went with a pair of Wildling shoes. They are an awesome company and they have some great options for shoes.

Does anyone feel the top of their legs like that they need constant stretching, like always? I feel them all day..

I keep coming back to this one! After the new mobilty series came out, I made a playlist of them, but I added this one to start it off. Total win.
