Tyler has struck me as an incredibly kind person while also extremely intentional, direct and confident with his voice. This inspires me and excites me - as when you practice with him in these sessions you feel both safe and seen, all the while feeling super encouraged to have fun and try on something new. It is important to him that all students feel welcome, especially if they are new to yoga and feeling as intimidated as he once did!

Off the mat, you can find Tyler biking around Lady Bird Lake, jamming to 80s music, or buying too many houseplants.

🩵💜🩷 Tyler, thank you for sharing a little about your body and journey. I’ve been practicing yoga for many years, and just recently completed YTT myself. When you walked about how you were born into a body that is maybe less natural bendy or supple than others, and that even as a teacher now, you’re not necessarily reaching your toes easily even now, I felt this sense of relief and reassurance. I did YTT primarily to grow and deepen my own personal practice, and it was magic and incredible. But every time someone asks me when I’m going to teach, I experience doubt and insecurity, because am not this ultra bendy, six-packed abs yogi guru master. I don’t fit that archetype! 😂 So, I don’t know whether I will find my way to teaching in front of a class, but if I do, there is such comfort in being reminded that that’s not the point, that’s not what is requisite. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for you. I’m looking forward to practicing with you!

🩷🩵💜🙏
