This Restorative Gratitude Sequence (with props!) is all about taking the time to honor yourself and the gift of your body. In restorative yoga, we embrace the power of slowness and find nourishment by exploring the depths and hidden corners of each asana. Together we will melt into the postures with each exhale, finding both harmonious intensity and tranquil ease. Notice what happens when you show appreciation for your breath, using the expansiveness of pranayama to create space. This is your moment to turn inward, to cherish sacred stillness. Let gratitude wash over you as you indulge in this gentle yet potent practice. Take all the time you need.

Note that we will be reveling in these poses for an ample amount of time, thus props are highly encouraged. If props aren’t available, there will be modifications offered throughout this practice.***

Here are some props to bring along if you have them:

1-2 blankets

a bolster (or pillow)

1-2 blocks

A yoga strap (or a hand towel)

Let me know how it goes for you in the comment section below!

Somehow I didn’t enjoy this at all? The options of the many props, etc. made my concentration falter…maybe restorative yoga is not for me…

Thank you Adriene! That felt really good! I am grateful for everything. The good ones keep me going. And the not so good ones ;) keep me growing! It’s all good. I relished the moments of stillness while seated then on my back in cobbler’s pose, supine twist with pillows as bolster and soft blankets between my knees (cat-cow before taking it to the other side), lying down again with one leg up to the sky (bent knee on the other) then the other side, legs up the wall (instead of Stonehenge)…then back to seated wrapped around my blanket (of love) felt amazingly warm and wonderful….embodying gratitude for my breath, my body, my practice, this space, collective and all that I gathered in 2025 and the years prior. I felt so held all throughout the session, with my breath, creating space by releasing any tension from anything that has come and gone. Being grateful for it all. Softening into gratitude. Oh so good! Thank you for this restorative moment FWFG Team for gentle reminder to “be in gratitude….relax…let go.” Lovely way to meet that day! I look forward to Nani’s new sound bath too! So many lovely things to turn to this space for…to all a very sweet day! 💚💚💚💚 12/17/25

Wow! I managed to grab a fluffy/fuzzy throw and that was just as effective. I remembered how wonderful this was (in the second to the last position) with “Stonehenge!”

“I am grateful for my breath and for my relationship to it.”

I enjoyed that side twist on the rolled up throw…that was lovely! I opted to do the waterfall…but I scooted over to the edge of the sofa and lowered my legs so Incould relax my whole body even more!…and that decision made for a very good restorative moment. I love the seated side twists, thanks Adriene! I’m yawning almost all throughout this session. Also the subtle sensations were so reassuring. As well as some air releases:) and a few pops. I did this after Conditioning Core practice. Thanks Team for practices that really serve me well! I’m ready to Rest. Digest. Restore. To all a good night. Or whenever this session finds you. And may this serve you well too. Thrive. Be well. 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜 08/23/25
