Build some resilience in your nervous system with this 20-min practice with Jenn. Yoga isn’t just about finding calm—it’s about building the capacity to meet life’s challenges with flexibility. Step two of the Viasomatic Method™ is all about learning the rhythm of your nervous system: how to press the gas (rev up) and hit the brakes (wind down). We’ll gently activate the stress response, then guide it back to ease.

You might feel your heart rate pick up, your breath quicken, and maybe even a little edge of stress - that is totally normal and part of the process. It’s like a workout for your nervous system as you train your body to work with the stress response without getting stuck in it. This practice will help you make bounce-back energy your new normal.

You may like a blanket for this practice.

Hi Jenn! (Or anyone else who can answer☺️❤️) Is this practice ok to do while experiencing high levels of anxiety, or should I wait until I feel better?

That was great! This is kind of funny but in the thumbnail I thought you were holding the plant lol. I was wondering when we were going to get to hold a plant. 😂

Thank you Jenn. Such a lovely soothing practice. And as you said ‘you may feel gurgling in your stomach’ I was just thinking I wonder why my stomach is gurgling!

I have a question please. Why do we need to stretch our eyes wide open as we look around? Thank you again, such a soothing practice and very definitely needed at the moment 🙏

I was a bit worried about doing this as it said in the description it would activate a stress response. I’ve been quite anxious lately & I didn’t want to make it worse. I needn’t have worried! A physical stressor is quite different from anxiety.

This was not easy for me though. I was really not coordinated in the seated walking exercise. What is that about? I’ll have to revisit ! Thanks Jen 🙏

That was such a beautiful practice. Thank you Jenn. Your warmth and caring energy comes through in your videos and it brings so much peace. I really look forward to your practices. I found myself yawning a lot throughout the practice, is that something normal in these type of practices or am I just tired? 💓

Preparing for surgery in a week, I appreciated this practice. Slowing down in my own space is one thing but taking the practice out into the world without the mat is another. The rocking, breath counting and looking around the room above eye level are helpful strategies. Shutting down the mental chatter with directives for calming. I received all the dos and don't from the doctors regarding preparation but this practice and daily yoga with Adrienne prepares my heart and spirit and helps me tap down the fear. Thank you.

I’ve had Covid this week, and chose this as first practice in four days of fever and all that. It was helpfu, thank you! I took it slow and found it soothing. It’s interesting how being sick changes one’s consciousness of the body. Obviously it’s extremely uncomfortable and freighting (I have a chronic heart condition) to suffer Covid, and I also felt an unexpected invitation to listen to my body and tune in to sensation … a simple practice with so much to offer by way of depth. 🙏🏽🦋💖

This came at a great time for me, feeling on edge as a parent and daughter and at times I feel the pull from both ends so strong. Makes me want to be alone, but this will help me manage my stress in a healthy way vs wanting to escape I hope. Will see how or if I can come back to it throughout the week. Thank you, Jenn 🙏🩷

This was wonderful Jenn! Thank you so much! And yes, my stomach has started gurgling before you mentioned it, and my forehead cleared as we were seated to close the session. It’s reassuring to witness and feel the fluctuations of my heartbeat, especially moving my eyes while in that seated position —- there’s such a huge difference from one side to the other! That awareness is something that I will carry throughout each waking moment of my day! Intil it gets to be my new normal. Thanks for recalibrating all of me and this nugget of awareness to save me from being capsized by the tide! Ride and own the wave. It’s like a superpower! I totally appreciate this added layer of inner know-how! I am aware of widening my lens (I have sharp eyes, focused, always checking, processing!…Ha!) but this session gave me so many Aha! moments, it clicked within my brain, mind lit up, my gut felt this, my heartbeats showed (even when I was unaware as my breath grew louder(?)…), my hips, shoulders, spine, even my legs and sit bones — grew more flushed with the mat especially while seated. My forehead got warmed up and yes how I breathed shifted! I noticed that I was breathing more in tight positions and easing into those with each repetitions. Thank you for this lovely gift.

How often can we safely practice this so we can be more resilient? Because I thought all along that I have it in ;) and that was all there was 😍 and I was already so very grateful…and then I noticed my forehead slightly getting warmer…and my breath took over with deeper, fuller and more expansive inhalations and slower, elongated exhalations. It’s like something within gets nudged to, hey!, Save the day! I did this session at 0.75 speed…so it would be a new adventure if I do this on regular speed. I am grateful Jenn for this awareness that I do indeed have agency over how I experience life! To the fullest. With integrity. It’s so good! Thanks for all the love and care! This is a most welcome addition to the plethora of wellness toolkit that we have easy access to on this wonderful safe space! Thanks for listening, providing Viasomatic practices to simplify my/our lives! I’m giddy with happiness. There’s so much going on…and I have this love cave, this safe space, all of you, the community…to not just land safely…but to rebound from with so much efficiency…I am suffused with so much energy, love, light, contentment…I can go on and on! I’ve hit the jackpot or something grand! 🥰😘😍🤩Thank you for being here! May we all be well. Always. Come what may, we can navigate through, find our connections to fire up, go beyond being resilient by having the tools and understanding of what/how our internal system feels from various external feeds…and the freedoms of knowing how to rebound and be back with more equanimity! I’m thrilled for this gift, I was seeking something more like this…to shift from the left side to my right and then center me back! My forehead thanks you for this added layer of self awareness/care/love/support! Okay…apologies…it just flows…my gratitude knows no bounds or limit…🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩵💙💚 Deep bow! 08/14/25
