I’ve had low back tightness/pain flare ups on and off for years since a previous sports injury. They don’t happen too often any more, but my back seized up this morning after a coughing fit (I’m at the tail end of a nasty cold/cough thng)🤧…Anyways, I found this video much too difficult to do when my back is flared up (aka tight/sore/tender/painful). As a former athlete my back is very strong, but when flared up the strength to do some of these poses is out of the question. This is more of a preventative/corrective exercise practice than restorative/releasing practice IMO.

However this other practice “Lower Back Love” was perfect! 💕🙌🏽 — I found it much better at releasing the low back tension enough that I was able to go about my day a bit more mobile. Hopefully this comment helps others who have low back tension/pain who need a more restorative/healing practice.

Struggled with this as a person with a larger body and belly

This was so hard for me - even with knees very bent it is a struggle for me to just sit tall. I know I’m in the minority here and still appreciate the practice.

Such a great practice, and while I have done this one before, each time I feel something new physically and emotionally. Today Adriene's words came through loud and clear, "...allow the nutrients of the practice to settle in...go ahead and leave behind anything that's not working for you, that's no longer serving you on the yoga mat. It will evaporate...just a little opportunity to release and leave behind...so that you can plant new seeds, find new joy, and rock your best self..." (And yes, I love her singing at the end) Filled with gratitude. Thank you.

This was difficult for me as someone with large thighs and belly. Anyone have any helpful modifications for sitting with your knees up, feet flat on the floor, for larger people? Variations on this pose were at least the first 10 minutes and I had no idea what to do instead as that form is completely inaccessible to me

This is exactly what I needed today! I wasn’t even having back or hip pain but my head and neck were killing me today and this felt amazing!
