This position just isn’t for me….felt better with props but not good by any means. It’s good to know that I tried doing it properly though. This in the past would really bother me; but now I know that it’s just not for me….hurts my knees, hips and ankles. 👏🏼🌸🌸👏🏼 to everyone that enjoyed it. I’ll see y’all cross legged 😘😗

Why oh why did I not do this session months ago? I don’t know… but I am so overjoyed that it was on the calendar today. I have been measuring my progress in healing my torn left meniscus (without surgery) through my yoga practice. It’s been 6 months since the car accident and I have been a blankets prop distance from a real child’s pose now for about 6 weeks. I cannot completely relax in it even with the blanket between my calf and thigh. I was happy with being that darn close to a real child’s pose however by using all the Hero props… I was able to do it! 😁😁😁Finally! I missed child’s pose like crazy! Using the blanket under my shins to my get my ankles to hang over and sittting on the block gave me the last bit of support I needed to hold that position … I could hold Hero as well! Yahoo! Adriene Thank you for creating this foundational session and thank you again for adding it to the calendar. Would have never been able to relax in child’s pose without it. Feel like I am so much closer to “home” in my healing. 💕🕯️

That was great, good options, sometimes as our body ages, things change and not every movement is possible. The props and options add another dimension, very inclusive. Also assists in recovery from injury 🩵

Hero pose without pain???? Never! But then I put the yoga block on the next highest position between my legs and like magic it happened!!! I felt wonderful and pain free. Yay! Thank you, Adriene for recognizing that people come in all sorts but yoga is for all of us. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I mostly prefer the traditional Hero Pose. Tonight, I tried all the variations you suggested. I enjoyed using the blanket to pad my knees and then put it on top of my lower legs…as I didn’t have my block handy, I will try that the next time I revisit this session. Thanks for everything Adriene! Hero Pose is very empowering for me. Strong. Fierce. Mighty. Courageous. Respectful. Honor bound. Peace be with All of Us. 💛💚🩵💙💜 05/23/25
