So I am finally getting comfortable enough to try this video.I discovered that when I go up on my toes and/or lift one leg, my elbows lose contact with the floor. They lift up. Am I do I g something wrong? I do have a terrible range of motion and I feel my arms sit deep in my shoulder sockets if that makes any sense to any one. Any suggestions?

As always, I remain open, curious, authentic and fully embracing of where I am in my journey. Strong arms, shoulders, core, strong legs. Great posture. Lean. Solid. Moving with grace and aplomb. My arm muscles are Wow! My shoulders, upper back are good! I have no soreness of any kind. I did a half head stand - meaning, I did not fully extend my legs up! I was stable, my breath was calm, I am able to push/prop myself up, my core is engaged - but I need to work on my hair and my ear bud keeps popping out. I saw those as signs to keep coming back to this practice! I will save a full head stand some other time. This was a perfect practice to assess my progress with integrity. I am doing well. Stay humble. Remain grateful. I can do half lotus! With efficiency and integrity. Amazing! That was my dream! And victorious breathing! I got so much more than those. So I am good, sitting comfortably and feeling grateful in lotus position! Lovely! I need to work on my head placement ;) and maybe apply some baking soda onto my palms and not brush my hair? If those are my only concerns, for now, I am very pleased and happy with this practice! I took my time. About 55 minutes. I always break things down, and I vet and assess my situation - I have a lot on my plate, and I do not want to add more to my concerns, so I didn’t lift my legs up. I am grateful for the half head stand if that’s considered a pose. I am good. I didn’t do the king of yoga poses, I chose to be a princess for today :) Balanced. Safe. And grateful that I tried. And I am strong. Stable. Centered. Thanks Adriene. FWFG Team, (I keep attesting that) the curated list of calendar practices are helpful to how I am safely growing my practice efficiently and with integrity, I love you all back! You make living a bliss. Not perfect. But easing into everything, authentically me! A gift! And I am enough! My attitude shapes my life experiences. A superpower in a highly-divisive and divided world. Allowing and letting everything to just be. There, I said it! I trust! Everything is as it should be. I choose to focus on what I have agency over:) and “it” resonates, reverberates and creates a domino-effect. Sending lots of love to everyone practicing. May we All choose to maintain our balance, so we can thrive in a world that’s in need of so much more of that…take good care…come to practice! Be well. Live life elevated. May we all choose to expand and evolve 07/21/24 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

I decided to break this demanding practice into pieces: first I watched the video fully , then I sliced it into a first half and then the second half. I am slowly getting there, and have to learn to be patient with myself. Thanks for being a patient teacher,Adrienne, namaste:))

Genius!!! Never done one before - 5mins with this video and I’m up. Amazing. If you dontvthink you can do this think again and take a little leap of faith. I would suggest positioning yourself facing a metre from a wall - easy to topple the wrong way

First time practising this: I didn't lift off the ground today, but I nonetheless enjoyed having my head on the ground - reminds me of rabbit pose - and toning my arm muscles; I feel like more core practice would also be good for mastering this 🙃

First time I was able to do headstand was on my 50th birthday I was so happy! Returning to this foundation practice reminds me of that joyful moment. I’m 53 now but continue to work on my headstands so I don’t lose the ability to do them🙏🏻🩷☮️🧘🏼‍♀️🪬
