With yesterday's focus on stability in flow, today we continue with a heightened focus on ease. Day 13 is all about marrying action with presence and ease. A beautiful practice for life, if you ask me.

Let me know how this one goes for you in the comments below!

Holy guacamole - this is a day 6 in disguise. ๐Ÿ˜… Did Not see that coming with the slow start and that title. Made it through, though. Feeling proud and centered. ๐ŸŽฏ

Three years ago, while doing day 13 of Breath (Feel), I received the message of my partner's death. Since then, day 13 of the yoga journey is very special bitter sweet for me but I just loved today's practice that reminded me to cultivate ease even in the hardest moments. I had to modify a bit because of some back issues but still really enjoyed the practice, thank you so much, Adriene and team! For me this year's yoga journey is getting better with every day!ย ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

This was great and it did sneak up on meย ๐Ÿ˜œ I have a question though: I always have difficulty keeping my neck relaxed when doing core work where we lift our head, neck and shoulders. My neck gets tight always. Anybody else experience this? Any suggestions? Mahalo and have a great week!๐ŸŒบ

Learned eons ago with Fundamentals of Ease that we do not define ease from the same dictionary!ย "You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means" - The Princess Bride

๐Ÿ˜‚ Haha Weโ€™re all surprised ! Good one A.!

On another note; perhaps someone with more knowledge/experience could comment on this: When doing the body scan, or other times when Iโ€™m totally relaxed ( and I can tell I am by what comes next), my body will shake and move , sometimes rather intensely . My head rocks back and forth , legs move arms move and could even flail up! I usually just observe and let it take its course and am always a little amused cause itโ€™s so weird. I am always able to stop when I want. Any explanations out there?

I modified the heck out of this practice & Iโ€™m not sorry ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™ I still enjoyed the core check in, but at a level that was achievable for me today.

My mistake was to read the comments before starting this which stopped me from being present at the beginning. There was in fact nothing for me to be worried about, very similar to day 6 and just what I needed if I am honest. I am feeling stronger this week. I did happen to repeat day 6 yesterday and took so much more from it than first time round. I will definitely repeat this one as well in a few days time too. Thank you Adriene

Wow!!! Connecting to the core with integrity to find ease! Thanks Marnie for (doing the hard work and) sharing somatic movements through your Yoga for Osteoporosis series. Mentioning it in case someone feels the need for those contents readily available here. Sumair, thank you for your Functional Movements series. Liz for your Pilates videos. For all your combined classes and training workshop videos. Everything makes perfect sense! This was another Yummy session for me because of those amazingly helpful contents and many more! Life elevated! I am easing into existing because of your combined light, wisdom, loving support and generosity of spirit. Adriene, Chris and to the whole FWFG Team for making this possible! Great breath-mind-body connection series to flow and ease through life off the mat too! ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ

What a wonderful reminder that EASE doesnโ€™t always mean EASY.

โœจ I choose to move through the uncomfortable with grace โœจ

There are days when Adriene's words go straight to my heart, as if she knows exactly what I need to hear.

Today was one of those days. I came to the mat in tears grieving a family member's progressive disease diagnosis. Yet it's those days that the physical practice often helps me move the tears along.

At the end, there was Adriene's gentle reminder, "....when it starts to get tough, use your breath to soften out those hard edges." While she meant the core work (and yes, that was tough for me) I found her words of wisdom are staying with me in my heart.ย

Filled with deep gratitude for this series, for the FWFG team and this gem of a community. Thank you.
