Ajna is an indigo 2 petaled lotus that resides in the brow. It has to do with spiritual perception. A person ruled by this chakra will be someone who acts with the wisdom of the universe.

The 2 petals or 'wings' correspond to the pineal and pituitary gland whose relationship tells the story of the prodigal son.

For spiritual perception to take place, thinking, feeling and willing have to be transformed into Imagination, Inspiration, & Intuition.

We go over how to access these modes of perception in the video.

Here's a hint: *The Heart plays a role. 💙

Ah, Rey. Would've preferred less ranting on technology and you, and more on imagination, inspiration and intelligence. I'm going to research the purposes of the pineal and pituitary glands, because the prodigal son story was not so clear, nor the anatomical purposes of these glands. And Jung...I guess you're a fan. But when you explain things solely from a Jungian viewpoint, it does not make the purpose of the Third Eye Chakra clear. Not everyone anthropomorphises every force acting upon them, then talk to it, because the anthropomorphism is not necessary, nor the conversation. One just feels the "forces" (just used generically) and responds. It's pretty simple.

I really apprecitaed the tangent about technology, and the metaphor of us unconciously becoming a battery with our attention

I both deeply related and felt uncomfortable with the bit on technology. I'm not sure how old these chakra chats are but it's becoming more and more clear how algorithms are made to be incredibly and unethically addictive. I generally struggle to feel at home in spiritual spaces, because I feel like there's too much of an emphasis on personal choice and we all have such widely different access to choices. Someone invented an infinite scroll, a team decided to implement it in their algorithms. Can't we do something in the material world to protect people from this? I don't think anyone wants to interact with and endless scroll. I feel a bit of anger too. Has anyone else struggled with an interest in spirituality clashing with a deep sense of injustice? It would mean a lot to be able to connect on this and hear some different perspectives.

Thank you so much for this series, Rey! Are there any books/readings you recommend on the chakras?

Just a question for everyone... How do you people know that what you perceive in your mind (the thinking part) is true and intuitive or just a bunch of anxious chaos? :D

How lovely these chakra chats with Rey 🙂 Chakras seemed very far away from my culture before but I’m enjoying discovering these symbols which definitely echo with life

I love working with Tarot and journaling as a self awareness tool for the very reasons you describe. Using the archetypes to imagine, and become inspired to use my intuition to intentionally do or not do. And i VERY much appreciate your perspective on social media! Thanks Rey!!
