Today we are learning a pranayama technique called Balloon Breath! Float into calm with this gentle and effective breathing exercise designed to help you ground, relax, and connect with your body. In this 10 minute session, I’ll guide you through the Balloon Breath technique– a simple practice that uses the power of visualization and diaphragmatic breathing to release tension and invite a sense of relaxation. Perfect for beginners, kids, or anyone looking to reset and find their center, this practice can be done anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re starting your day, winding down, or simply in need of a mindful pause, this video offers a breath of fresh air for your mind and body.

I think of balloon breath as a good friend.
Two perfect breathing practices for a tough bout with COVID. My breathing definitely has been compromised and this is just what I needed. I missed my yoga so much didn’t practice for five days. First time that has happened to me in years.

It wasn’t until I started doing yoga with Adriene (approximately five years ago) that I learned my breathing is the opposite of what it should be. In other words, when I breathe in, I suck my belly in when I breathe out my belly expands. It is so hard for me to try and shift this but I do keep trying because it makes sense. Maybe it’s just the generation I’m from because when I grew up so many people smoked and it seems like that is what they did.
