Your go-to yoga session for recovery is here! In this practice I will guide you through gentle and effective stretches to care for your muscles, stabilize your joints, and help melt away fatigue. Whether you're winding down after a workout, relieving tension from daily stress, or simply craving a moment of ease, this sequence will help you release tightness, improve mobility, and restore balance.

In yoga philosophy, ahimsa (the practice of non-harm) teaches us to approach ourselves with kindness, patience, and care. This gentle 10-minute stretch is an invitation to embody that principle, offering your body the space to release tension, recover, and restore. Take this time to tend to yourself and honor your body’s wisdom! I will see you on the mat.

Let me know how it goes for you in the comments!
I have had a rough mental health and relationship situation since the end of February and a side effect of that was losing the drive to continue my daily practice even though it likely could have helped me tremendously. Sometimes it's hard to do what you know you should. I'm very grateful to this community. I read Adriene's weekly email which brought me here on a day with a 10 minute recovery practice... And that's all I needed to get back on the mat.

I’ve been in PT since January, and while this was still quite the workout for me, I can’t believe my upper body strength has improved enough that I could actually stay in down dog with y’all the whole time!! 🤩 AND, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, when I asked my right knee to lift up out of low lunge and step back, IT DID IT ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 (left leg not yet but maybe soon!).

Getting ready for a road trip with my dog. Not a long one but my first solo road trip in many years. This was perfect to get me loosened up and ready to hit the road. 🧡🌈

I love these short practices on days when parts of me are very reluctant to go on the mat.

It felt delightful to breathe in different positions ✨💜🌿

What a wonderful practice. I know it isn't long but it was perfect for today. Last night I was working until 2 am on a submission for a large art instillation. I had put it off until almost the last minute, 5 pm today is the deadline. Why did I put it off? Well, I think it was because I didn't think I could do it, I wasn't experienced enough, wasn't really an artist, but then I just decided to say "Yes I am." Just doing the submission is the practice itself. Very much like yoga. This community and Adriene are a big part of my choice to say yes. What does Adriene say? "Coming to the Mat is the hardest part." Wish me luck. In case you're interested I am making an agamograph, a type of artwork that creates an optical illusion, displaying different images when viewed from various angles. I will use this image I created the other day. Called Reflection on Water and Light.

What a gorgeous little practice which completely belies it’s name! Wasn’t going to do it as it’s not a recovery day for me but this is a perfect morning full-body stretch. Note to self: always read the small print aka Adriene ‘s notes! A perfect pairing with the meditation. Stepping into my day with an ‘gratitude attitude’. Have a lovely day all 🙏💛✨

This is a new favorite!! I've followed this video a few times now and it always hits the spot. It makes a great quick morning practice on non-recovery days, too! Today, lying on my back and bringing my knees up to my chest felt so good that I paused the video for a minute just to rock back and forth there. Loving the freedom to find what feels good — and your guidance to unexpected ways I might get there, like the soft boat. Thank you so much, Adriene! 🩷

I really appreciated the “this is not a modification” statement in that seated forward fold. Even in a home practice, I can catch myself feeling pressure to hit the pose. That little grace note was a powerful reminder that we’re just here to make shapes and feel what’s happening—no judgment, just presence. 💞
