Thank you Marnie and Adriene for including yoga for osteoporosis in your repertoire. My feet got some new stretches and I felt grounded during the practice. When I got diagnosed with OP I was quite shocked, seeing I walked daily and did yoga daily, but with massive research and then training with Dr. Fishman in Yoga vs Osteoporosis, I now know how changing up my yoga practice can help me build and/or maintain bone density. Also from reading the study in 1984 by Sinaki and the work done by Cristofolini in 2013, I feel strongly about not including any forward flexion in my yoga practice. Even though I am very aware of hinging from my hips with a straight back throughout the day when petting the dog, emptying the dishwasher, tying my shoes (etc) there are bound to be times when I flex it, so I definitely don't want to add it to my practice. This flexion even includes rolling down the spine in bridge. I lead with my sacrum first and come down in a straight line.

I enjoyed the class. But, i have gotten accustomed to FWFG classes that dont require props. I wish modifications were offered in this class for folks without blocks and such.

Definitely harder than it looks but oh so good to feel the whole body come together from Toes up to Head! Loved the squat to stand balance at the end and yes shaking was good 😁 Such a great start to the series 🙏

Can’t sit on my heels (first couple of positions). Do you have any alternatives for stretching the feet/ankles there? Definitely doing this one again. Thank you!

Thank you so much Marnie! Awesome work! That was absolutely wonderful. Appreciate the nice quick check inwards at the beginning - I was definitely excited! Great instructions, gentle cues, pacing, nice sequence working from the ground (Savasana) then up (Tadasana) - you made everything so “doable.” Conjuring happy thoughts in tight positions - delightful! i had to smile, so joyful! So much awareness! The sensations. Connecting with my lower body in such an insightful way. This workshop elevates my lower body connectivity awareness. I surprised myself in such a good way. That I can ground my feet in such a manner is such a gift - Marnie, thank you so much! Goddess pose practice yesterday prepared my lower body for this. Thank you so much Adriene for this new series from Marnie. Life is more beautiful when I know I am seen, attended to, cared for and nourished. My whole feet, ankles, shins, calves, hamstrings, inner thighs, knees, pelvis, spine, shoulders, especially my toes and arches are telling me: this is how we work to support you, this is what you need to do to take care of us so we can grow old together in a sustainable manner. My mind says: Yes!!! A sigh of relief and gratitude from my breath. I am obviously delighted Marnie! Namaste ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
