Arm Balance Practice - inspired by the first Major Arcana of the Tarot, The Magician!

Join Adriene and Rey for practice! This short, playful arm balance practice is inspired by the first Major Arcana of the Tarot, The Magician. The Magician is the bridge between heaven and earth. Drawing from meditation and the deep inner wisdom of the heart, the Magician transforms work into play, makes all his yokes easy and his burdens light. While arm balances require a healthy amount of effort, they are made light and paradoxically grounding when practiced with a playful attitude. Approach this practice from a light perspective and tap into the wisdom of the Magician.

In this video we will:

Do a practice inspired by the Tarot.

Discuss the art of learning how to learn via the Magician in Tarot.

Remember to play!

Explore a fun arm balance- Eka Hasta Bhujasana, or leg over shoulder pose.

Namaste,

Adriene

I always keep my tarot deck next to my yoga matt to draw a card after each practice. As i was listening to the beginning of this video, I decided to draw a card before my practice this time. I didnt expect anything just had the thought "i want the magician" in my head. I cut my deck, pulled the first card on top, and there he was- the magician!
