Happy September, dear community! This short & sweet vlog salutes you!

This month we are committing to morning moments that feed the soul and influence the rest of our day. Rituals that may renew the mind, and energize the body.

An opportunity each morning to begin anew.

(I’ll take it!)

Let the way you meet your morning help shape the rest of your day. As I mention in this vlog, some days will be more difficult than others, chaotic even. So don’t worry about performing the perfect or ideal morning routine, don’t expect exact repetition. Each morning will be a new experience. Simply notice your energy and the way you respond in the morning, then let the practice and relationship to your prana body develop from there.

This month we celebrate this community with the 12th anniversary of Yoga With Adriene. Yoga is not just about asana, it is about embodiment. Salute the energetic component of this ancient practice. Salute the trees! Salute stillness! And if you are here, you know that through yoga we may also find belonging, community. Again, I salute you.

Love,

Adriene

I Go Among The Trees
By Wendell Berry

I go among trees and sit still.
All my stirring becomes quiet
around me like circles on water.
My tasks lie in their places
where I left them, asleep like cattle.

Then what is afraid of me comes
and lives a while in my sight.
What it fears in me leaves me,
and the fear of me leaves it.
It sings, and I hear its song.

Then what I am afraid of comes.
I live for a while in its sight.
What I fear in it leaves it,
and the fear of it leaves me.
It sings, and I hear its song.

After days of labor,
mute in my consternations,
I hear my song at last,
and I sing it. As we sing,
the day turns, the trees move.

Yooooo Adriene, I love you and Benji and the FWFG community so very much. I've been telling my friends about you since I was in high school (I am now 27 so like literally almost ten years at this point omg!!!). You have helped me through so much (and Benji has too) as I've watched you over the years. Your energy is so .. grounding yet exciting, fun yet sincere, so so funny and so sweet. I know Spirit sent you and this community to me. I can't tell you in this comment just how much I am thankful for you and you sharing your energy with us. I imagine you have put a lot of work into being such a balanced and vibrant soul. I know it takes work on and off the mat for us to learn to really love ourselves. You have helped me a lot with being kinder to myself, and there is a ripple effect because, as I am able to treat myself with more love and respect, then so I am also able to treat every living being (plants, animals, people, trees, bugs, the Earth, the children) with more love and respect

Thank you for being you! I just got fired on Friday from a place I’ve worked at for 8 years. It was a surprise for sure. I’m not sure what I’m going to do as my husband is also currently unemployed as well.

Happy birthday Adriene and Yoga with Adriene ❤️ may you have a beautiful September too!

I have to say that this new camera that moves with Adriene’s head made it hard for me to concentrate on what Adriene was saying! These very small movements of the frame were distracting, which is a shame… Did anyone else notice this?

My birthday is this weekend, the 8th! I love this time of year. Here in Ohio, it feels like fall and it’s gorgeous. I’m so thankful I found your channel and then took the jump to the paid membership!

Love the practices! I’ve been so grateful to be part of this community since the beginning of this year. Does anyone know what brand of tracking ring Adriene was wearing in this month’s vlog? Very interested since I’ve been looking into them. Thanks!

Wow the trees!!!!! The poem and trees theme, alongside the theme of embracing change, are so spot on for me. I've been thinking a lot about trees lately and identifying a lot with them - so I felt very seen and surprised and delighted to have them featured in this vlog. 💗 I love you Adriene and community. I love us! ❤️ And I love the idea of our love trickling out from us to all those around us from our morning practice. 💖🌳🌲🍁🌴

Happy Birthday month Adrien!!! Your wonderful energy keep us going on and on, so thank you so much!

I am also a tree lover and hugger and love to read and listen to the poetry you share with us. When I feel sad, I tend to write poetry too, but I need to learn to write it when I am glad as well :)

Have a great month community xoxo

I listened to this the day after having a tree surgeon maintain the trees in my small garden, not exactly a still and calming experience, but a necessary one. I love trees, I told him. I can see that, he said. You’ve even kept a dead one. Most people would have had that taken out in a heartbeat. But it’s such a beautiful structure, I said, and so many birds love to perch on it. He smiled. We talked about the beauty of trees. Upon reflection, and after watching your video and listening to your reading of that lovely poem, I honestly feel so grateful that they greet me from my bedroom window every fresh new morning ❤️

Thank you Adriene for following your heart and creating a beautiful place for all kinds of yogis to come. ✨💌❤️‍🔥
