I'm processing the end of a nearly decade long relationship, mourning our engagement and the life I thought we would have together. this practice found me on a particularly tender night, at a time when I'm struggling to make time to get on my mat. grateful for Adriene and the FWFG community ♥️

Well, I went the other way on this video.

Last night I just fell asleep too quickly, being overworked from the day. For the first time in three years I had tendinitis and my muscles were so sore. I was just not into it. But when I woke up at 5:30 AM this morning I turned on this video. My body was still restless from the day before. I didn't want to get up just yet. Calming the mind, so greatly helped influence my body. Somedays I just need to stay down when I awake, absorbing what the day might bring.

This was a good way to prep for the day when the nervous system when it is all awry. (get in the mind control Kinks out of the way) what a beautiful way to say "hello" to your body. THIS ONE WORKED!

And yes, the breath work is so important especially in the morning. Now, washed face with warm water and dried with white paper towel by pressing firmly and moving in a downward motion. This gets rid of the old emotions and begin new for me.

Thank you Adriene for this! ✨🧘🏻♂️✨

I cheated! I did this at dawn, right after Series of Five and this felt so delicious! Life is beautiful! Leaning towards gratitude as soon as I wake up and to close the day is a delightful way to punctuate each day/night. This is so gentle, soothing and calming and peaceful. An “I love you” to the mind! A sweet caress to the body. And gratefulness for the breath. A release. Love the cat-cow while seated. And the spiral twist, yummy! Knees together, so relaxing. Fetal position. Cobbler’s pose, so soft. I used my pillow in seated forward fold, and felt so lovingly held! I love to end most nights with a yoga practice after prayers and prior to short meditation practice. I will try to do this tonight too! To consistently move energies in ways that serve, keep my balanced state of being - I practice more self-love, delight in the joys of self-inquiry/study, self-care to the max - create more space and discover an expansive means and ways to exist and to simply just be! I love you Adriene! FWFG Team. My dear Teachers! This whole collective. May we all live well, he happy, be healthy as we feel acknowledged, seen, tended do, held with so much grace and lovingly supported here in this space…and off the mat too! Spreading more love, because the practice stirs good energies for more compassion, kindness and so much more to flourish! Okay ;) Peace, Light and so much Love to everyone practicing! 08/28/24 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Well! That was interesting. I did this practice late morning after a 5 km run and riding for 45 minutes (not to mention mucking out my horse). I needed to chill out. Wow! did I do so! I felt completely zenned out. Perfect outcome.
