Join Adriene for a sweet 18 minute yoga flow created to inspire grounding and balance. This practice is an invitation to trust.

Just as we condition and strengthen our bodies, so too can we condition and strengthen our sense of trust and hope. With this quick flow, we’ll cultivate fresh energy and release anything stagnant. We will also gently ground with some hip openers, energize with some heart openers, and invite balance back to the mind, body, and spirit.

I really really needed some hope today. I have been in a dark space for a while now and can’t seem to climb out of it, so I was excited to see this practice come up. Sadly it has had the opposite effect on me. While I am pretty flexible, I have a chronic joint issue from childhood which has limited the range of motion in one of my knees a great deal. Having lived ky whole life with it, I can be very adept at finding alternate ways in which to move and usually in my yoga practice I am able to deal with it without much problem. But today’s practice had such extreme poses like the fire log pose and the reaching around to grab your foot, that frustrated me to no end. It just reminded me of my limitations and how hopeless it can feel to not move as others move. So I leave this practice without hope. I KNOW this is not your fault AT ALL! I thank you profusely for all you have given me. It is all on me. But I just had to say it out loud to the universe. The darkness can be really deep.

My fur baby has been missing for a week now. I've hardly eaten nor slept, let alone kept up with my daily practise. I have never felt this broken and alone - and even crazy at times (sleep deprivation can really do crazy things to a mind). I've done all I can think of to let the neighourhood know she's being missed. I have to start taking care of myself again, to make sure she still has a mom to come home to when she does. All I can do now is to have hope and trust in her ability to find her way back to me. Thank you, Adriene (and the rest of the team and the community) for making me feel slightly less alone in these impossibly hard times. And for reminding me that nothing is lost, as long as there is hope.

Not me over here thinking there’s no way I’m gonna bend and reach my foot and then choosing to trust my body and doing it!
