As a follow-up to Receptive Meditation, Rey is back with this 18-minute introduction to Active Meditation. Active meditation serves as a balance for your receptive meditation practice. It should be practiced after a brief period of receptive meditation so that you can begin from a neutral starting position. In this lesson, Rey explains what “Illumined thinking” is and how to create it with your imagination. You’ll learn the significance of the sphere in sacred geometry, as well as which times of year are more conducive to meditation. Then Rey offers a guided meditation where you will envision a golden sphere around your head.

We recommend you first review Receptive Meditation if you haven't done so already.

References: Dr. Robert Gilbert; Daskalos

It is great! I just wonder how this idea of the seasons works for people that lives in the Tropics. I am from Caracas, Venezuela. Thanks!

Thank you so much Rey. I just finished sitting, practicing gratitude and reflecting. I had my phone off. I have so much lightness, warmth, space and clarity prior to this. When I opened the app, you came up. Since I am already sitting on the floor with my back against the wall, I gave this a go. I didn’t realize this was a new one. I took your invitation because I totally appreciate the receptive meditation. I initially didn’t want to leave this comment in here as I don’t want to influence anyone else’s expectations. I felt the light throbbing sensation in the middle of my head right away, top of the ears (as soon as I exoanded the orb) and was able to hold the vision of the orb (prior practice was from my heart center). When I expanded the orb beyond and out to the universe (as I do occasionally) and then back to me, I felt that warmth/sensation in my heart and that’s when the flood of tears came unbidden. I have not cried in ages. It was so reassuring. But I felt so grounded at the same time. When I snapped my fingers I felt so light. I still feel the sensation lightly as if reassuringly. It’s gone now. I have been practicing gratitude and reflecting on the year that (is almost) coming to an end…taking stock of everything…and I mindfully take the time especially at the beginning and end of day to reconnect…this was oh so good for the soul. This was a first active meditation of this kind for me. I am humbled by your generosity in spirit. Thank you Rey, Adriene, Chris, FWFG team and this whole community. Namaste ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I could not focus much during this session however when I practiced receptive meditation I was fully in sync with that in first time . Does that mean my mind is programmed in that way or do I need to practice receptive more then level up for active meditation?

Thank you Rey! Both of your mediation videos have been so helpful. I have quite a lot of challenging things going on in life right now and i keep finding myself returning to these to keep myself balanced and return to a sense of stability. Thank you for your work on these 🙏🏻

Hi Rey, Any Idea How People With Aphantasia Can Practice This Meditation? I Can't Create Images In My Mind Therefore Couldn't Visualize The Sphere. Is There A Another Way Or Might This Meditation Just Not Be The Right Type For Me?

thank you Rey for the amazing practice. I felt my whole body heating up and tingling while holding the visualization, but I also experienced a heavy pain in my L chest/scapula which made it challenging to fully immerse myself. has anyone else also experienced pain in the body while meditating? would love to hear others’ thoughts on this. namaste 🙏🏼

This was such an interesting meditation practice. Didn't feel any vibration and had a difficult time holding the sphere, but I am truly a beginner. Thank you so much, Rey. I always learn so much from your teachings. 🙏

Thank you for the video. I find it extremely hard to keep concentration during meditation and almost never manage to not check my phone, watch tv or something at the same time. Sometimes it feels like my ability to focus is ruined completely. However, this practice made me want to be able to do so again. I will come back to this and try again, as I did like this a lot.

This meditation was definitely not my cup of tea. There was too much talking for me. I couldn't concentrate with the noise in my head and Rey's voice. On the other hand, I am amazed with how many variations of meditating there are. I thought it was just meditating. Anyways, thank you for this practice. Even though it wasn't for me, I know that there was great value here.
