This 36-minute Pilates lesson with Liz focuses on the spine with exercises to strengthen the back muscles to support it better. We’ll begin on all fours (Liz offers adjustments for those with sensitive wrists) with cat-cow to synchronize the breath and warm up the spine. Then turn onto your back for several bridge exercises with particular attention to your pelvic floor and Sitz bones. Next, let your arms become wings to access the external rotator cuff muscles of the shoulders. Glutes and hamstrings get a workout, too, with some gentle pulses and lifts. Learn the importance of keeping a neutral pelvis while mobilizing the legs. This Pilates session will quicken your breath and calm your nerves.

A brick or small pillow and hand towel are used in this class.
