Please join me in welcoming Nani Clem to FWFG! I first met Nani when I stumbled into a little space in the Pacific Northwest full of love and warmth. Nani treated me like an old friend, offering me some of her tangerine, and inviting me to a sound bath they were planning to have the next evening. I wasn’t going to go… and then something just said “go and receive.” This was summer of 2021, so for many of us it was our first time at a gathering like that in some time. I remember people sharing they felt anxious, they felt sad, it really did feel like the group that had shown up that day felt collectively unsteady. But Nani held the space in such a way that fascinated me. The way she could lovingly and professionally drop the guard of the room. The way she collaborated with her co-teacher that night and the way they wove breathwork and sound into an experience built from the present moment was such a gift. There was no pretense or performance, just realness. And I value that greatly.
When she played the violin at the end I was in tears.

The next day we officially became friends, and the rest is history. I am so grateful to have her join us and hope you enjoy her humor, kindness, wisdom and unfiltered friendship and teachings.

Love,

Adriene

Little Nani's first exposure to the power of sound, breath and body was when she studied violin and piano at The Seattle Conservatory of Music as a child. This was just the start of her sound journey. Through adolescence and early adulthood she played with local bands in Seattle, held space with music in her spiritual communities, and eventually, inspired to move through her own grief and desire to serve others, studied sound therapy at the Globe Institute in San Francisco in 2020.

Her love for the body and movement took momentum in 2010 as a StrongFirst certified kettlebell instructor and pre/post natal corrective exercise specialist, where she worked with and supported hundreds of women through breath, posture and discovering their innate strength.

She trained in somatic movement in the jungles of Costa Rica in 2021-2022. This is where she learned to welcome and have reverence for the full spectrum of human expression. And most importantly, she learned to accept her whole self.

She co-founded a healing arts studio in the PNW in 2022, where she also completed her 200hr YTT with an adoration for restorative yoga.

Nani is currently teaching Sound Healing Certifications for Practitioners through the Space Holder Collective, and is also deepening her studies with the Practice Yoga School of Yoga Therapy program.

She's currently living right outside of Austin, TX with her lover of 20 years, three kids, and their pups, Steve & George.
