<p><strong>Ingredients</strong></p><ul><li>1 1⁄2 cups cooked, drained chickpeas </li><li>1/2 small onion, diced</li><li>1 clove garlic, chopped</li><li>1/4 cup cilantro, chopped</li><li>1/2 cup rolled oats</li><li>2 tablespoons chickpea flour </li><li>1 hot chile, minced (optional) </li><li>1⁄2 teaspoon salt</li><li>1/2 teaspoon pepper</li><li>2 tablespoons olive oil</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Instructions</strong></p><ol><li>Combine chickpeas and onion in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Dump into a bowl. Add garlic, cilantro and oats to processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add to chickpeas and mix together with salt, pepper and chile. </li><li>Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with a little oil. </li><li>Form into 4 patties, about 1/3 cup measure each. </li><li>Fry the patties in olive oil until browned and heated through, about 3 minutes on each side.</li></ol><p><br></p><p>Makes 4 patties. Serves 4.</p>
