I want to do yoga, do to any movement or self care really, but I just don't. The just do it motivation model isn't working.

Hi M, I feel just like you, and the one and only thing that takes me again and again to yoga is the pleasure I find in it. Often, I’d rather do something else with my spare time, but I know that once I get started, it’s going to feel good, so I push myself to carve a bit of time and to roll out the mat, because from experience I know it always makes me feel good, either physically (the stretches!!!) or mentally if I’m a bit down, confused or tired. During my long relationship with yoga (I’ve been doing Yoga with Adriene for 10 years), there have been stretches of time when I haven’t done any, either because I was so happy with my life that I didn’t need the mental

I really enjoy these - I've always liked finding this time for myself and, especially as a super busy and stressed law student, it has really helped me ground and manage those tidal waves. However, I can't help but share: durirng the first video's meditation, when you said something along the lines of "listen to your surroundings . . . I hear birds," one of our dogs chose that moment to very noisily start chewing her bone. And then, during this meditation, toward the end, my dog came right up and kept nuzzling my hand and, when I didn't respond, trying to keep with my stillness, she gave up and just plopped her head on my lap for half a minute.

Great way to start my birthday! Priceless meditation time, listening to my cat breathe behind me-she enjoys Adriene as much as I do! Thank you,

Fourth week second Day. I’m in the flow… 2 nights in a row of restless sleep + feeling a bit sluggish. Wondering if it may be a result of the flu shot I got 2 days ago. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you, Adriene for this stretchy practice. Hoping to channel this to get me through the day. Namaste all 🙏💖🙃🧘🏻‍♀️😑🙆🏻‍♀️🫶

Welcome Home wher it’s safe. Namaste
