Drumroll please! It is my distinct honor and absolute pleasure to invite you to meet and greet Marnie Castor! Some of you have practiced with Marnie here on FWFG for years, some of you may be meeting her for the first time. Maybe you have been lucky enough to practice with her in person? We are so grateful to have Marnie guiding practices here on Find What Feels Good. As you will hear in the video, I first met Marnie at Practice Yoga Austin, our local studio, where many years ago I taught Monday mornings and Marnie did as well, with her class following mine. As I would stay after to “transition” the lobby lovingly and dutifully from my class to the next, I often would slip into the studio as a student and find myself laughing, moving, crying and loving myself more with Marnie’s Monday offerings. I first remember being struck hard at her willingness to be real and vulnerable with the group while also still holding gentle control of the space - safely and lovingly. It is an art I love to practice and play in myself. It is the type of guide that values some of the truest (and oldest) principles of yoga that can often show up today looking like respect, humility, understanding and unconditional love. She has a damn good sense of humor and taste in music too. I hope you will enjoy Marnie’s offerings and feel held by her warmth and wisdom.

xo

Adriene

Marnie is a lead teacher in Practice Yoga Austin 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training, Graduate of Practice School of Yoga Therapy. After leaving her position as manager, she was offered an opportunity to take another TT with James Brown of American Yoga School and in 2009 completed her second 200 hour TT. In 2010 she finished a 300 hour TT with Yogaworks, mentoring with the esteemed Chad Hamrin. After sustaining a back injury in 2011, she began her nascent studies in Therapeutics apprenticing with the incomparable Jasmine Lieb. Her style of teaching is a slow, alignment based flow. She employs lightness, laughter and levity in her classes and believes that there is no sacred without the profane.

Always the perennial student Marnie, has gone on to study Level 1 Urban Zen, Level 1 iRest and Trauma Informed Yoga.
