Part seven of Functional Movement with Sumair works on more specific ranges of motion. Activate and strengthen the arches of your feet for healthier movement of the feet that will set off a positive chain reaction upwards! Then, use a modified lunge exercise to focus on connecting the glutes, groin, and hips. Notice a new sense of ease and fluidity when you are finished.

You’ll need a hand towel and a blanket for this lesson.

Thank you Sumair, I really enjoyed this series! However in these last two videos I felt rather intense pain right below the right inner knee. Does this tell me anything in particular?

I have neuropathy in my right foot, little toes. I did this with both big toe and baby toe, (individually) I think it will help. Thanks

Definitely felt like it “got it” more this practice! To think it took me until day 7 to finally feel the chain you’ve been referencing this whole time! A challenging series, at times a bit fast and certainly needing more audio cues, but definitely one I’d like to revisit, particularly once I get some yoga blocks—Hopefully each revisit will offer more “I get it” moments, thanks Sumair!

Another Eureka and Ahha! moment! Thank you Sumair for all the lessons that you have generously shared - and looking for more from you! No pressure! I am definitely benefitting from this Functional Movement series. Day 7 and I have grown a lot! I feel so much more lighter, moving with more ease, my hip flexors, wow! My shoulders and torso, oh my!Everything moves on cue or its own volition, and functions and falls neatly into into place. Delightful. Mind-body connection! My mind is right where my toes are - and moving from the ground up, the connection and the push, tuck, clench, zip and on point connection is a delight to witness happening and experience. Aligned! It’s great to Just Be! Adriene, thank you from the bottom of my heart and all of me! May everyone feel lighter, brighter and spacious with every step! 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
